Fully restored rosewood William IV Library Chair. Re-padded with a jute webbed coil sprung, hand tied and lashed seat. The carving highlights the age (circa 1830) of this chair with paterae at the front leading into lotus leaf legs terminating with cupped brass castors.
Covered in stunning fabric by Gainsborough , one of England’s finest textile houses, from their luxurious damasks 100% silk Renaissance collection. This pattern is typical of the Italian silks from the early 1800's that became very fashionable throughout Europe.
